Analysis

When we first started working on the Oilmarkt project, we observed that the website had gone through an incorrect infrastructure migration process and had experienced a significant loss in traffic. Since both sales and organic traffic had declined considerably, we initiated a detailed analysis and carried out focused efforts to recover the lost performance. In addition to the faulty migration process, issues related to meta title and description usage, site speed problems affecting user experience, and ineffective internal linking stood out as the main areas requiring improvement.

Process

To improve SEO performance, we first analyzed the URLs lost during the infrastructure migration process. In line with this, we identified pages that had previously generated traffic or received backlinks and reactivated those pages. We then added these pages back into the sitemap files to accelerate the re-indexing process.

To further strengthen SEO performance, we analyzed the needs and search behavior of the target audience and identified the most effective keywords. By restructuring content in line with these keywords, we optimized the website while also making it more relevant and engaging for users. Page titles and meta descriptions were strategically revised, while visual and code optimizations were implemented to maximize site speed. In addition, responsive designs were applied to strengthen mobile compatibility and user experience, ensuring a seamless experience across all devices.

Results

Organic Traffic:

  • November 2023: With the core update released in November, the website reached 10.000 organic traffic for the first time.
  • March 2024: Following the Google core algorithm update and spam update released in March, Oilmarkt was positively affected and organic traffic increased to 40.000 levels.
  • August 2024: At the current stage, the website has continued to benefit positively from algorithm updates and has reached 70.000 organic traffic.

Organic Keywords:

  • The number of organic keywords ranking in positions 1-3 exceeded 1.000. This increase made a significant contribution to traffic growth.
  • Keywords in the 4-10 and 11-20 ranges also grew cumulatively, increasing overall visibility.
  • Keyword rankings beyond 20+ continue to improve consistently, and the total number of organic keywords has now exceeded 13.000.
